Of the 14 players named to the OCAA All Millennium Team in 2013, two were honoured as their team's most valuable player and their post secondary institution's male athlete of the year after winning a CCAA championship. 

John Moore, who was inducted into the OCAA Hall of Fame in 2003, participated in three CCAA National Hockey Championships and received a bronze medal in 1977, a silver medal in 1975 and a gold medal in 1976. Over the course of four seasons with the St. Clair College Saints of Windsor Ontario from 1973 through 1977, the forward amassed 186 regular season points which was the second highest career total at the time.  Of Moore's 99 regular season goals, a then conference record 43 were scored in 20 games during the 1975-76 campaign.  The 1975-76 leading scorer in the OCAA with 76 points was selected St. Clair's Male Athlete of the Year.  Ironically, Moore never garnered any individual honours from the OCAA and the CCAA during his time with the Saints.

Bob McAskill, who was inducted in the OCAA Hall of Fame in 2013, participated in CCAA National Hockey Championship in each of his seasons with the Cambrian College Golden Shield of Sudbury, Ontario.  The 1996 silver medalist and the 1997 gold medalist registered 69 regular season points on 25 goals and 44 assists. In 1995-96, the forward was honoured as the most valuable player at the OCAA championship and a tournament all star at the CCAA championship.  In 1996-97, McAskill netted the winning marker in the CCAA gold medal game after being selected as a conference all star and a championship all star in the OCAA. The captain of the national champion Golden Shield was subsequently named Cambrian's Male Athlete of the Year.

Neither Moore nor McAskill played in seasons when CCAA All Canadian Awards were presented.
