Three hockey coaches enshrined in the OCAA Hall of Fame are eligible for induction in the next CCAA Hall of Fame class. Collectively, the trio guided teams to 11 podium finishes at nationals from 1976 through 1990.    

In six seasons behind the bench of the St. Clair College Saints of Windsor from 1975 through 1981, Jerry Serviss directed the team to three appearances at the CCAA National Hockey Championships as OCAA champions.  During his tenure, the Saints recorded fiive wins and two losses at nationals for a winning percentage of .714 and posted an average finish of 2.33.  In addition to two bronze medals at the event, St. Clair won all their regular season and post season games en route to bringing home gold in 1976. Serviss entered the OCAA Hall of Fame in 2005.

In six campaigns of calling the shots for the Seneca College Braves of Willowdale from 1980 through 1986, Nick Harbaruk masterminded three OCAA titles. At the CCAA National Hockey Championships, the Braves won six of nine games for a winning percentage of .667 and received one silver medal and two bronze medals for an average finish of 2.67. Harbaruk received the call to the OCAA Hall of Fame in 2005 and passed in 2011 at the age of 67.

In five seasons at the helm of the Humber Hawks of Etobicoke from 1985 though 1990, Dana Shutt directed the team to five consecutive OCAA championships in addition to three silver medals and two bronze medals for an average finish of 2.40 at the CCAA National Hockey Championships.  During the run, the Hawks won nine and lost eight at the event for a winning percentage of .529.  The former captain of the Hawks was inducted into the OCAA Hall of Fame in 2015.

Of the six bench bosses who coached teams to berths in the Level I National Championship era that are eligible for entry into the CCAA Hall of Fame, the oldest living coach has the highest winning percentage at the event. Jerry Serviss, 85, is also one of the five men's post secondary varisty hockey head coaches from the NCAA, the NAIA, U Sports and the CCAA to guide a national champion with a winning percentage of 1.000 in the regular season and post season.
